Raiders close to signing McFadden...

The Raiders will meet with McFadden's agent, Ian Greengross, next week, and figures on both side of the aisle are saying a deal may be struck in June. No one is sharing numbers, but McFadden is expected to get a deal with somewhere between $22-30 million.

This is great news considering the complete mess we had with JaMarcus last year.  Let's hope we get this done quick.

Nnamdi ditching camp....

Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers, reports Oakland Raiders exclusive franchise CB Nnamdi Asomugha is not expected to attend the team's minicamp June 3. He is also no lock to be present at training camp.

Nnamdi isn't such a veteran that he can go and miss camp.  The guy needs to sign the franchise tag and get his ass into camp.  Work on the deal in the meantime.  We sure as heck want to keep you Nnamdi.  Just don't let the team down by holding out.

Raiders showing interest in Thurman

According to the Oakland Tribune, the Raiders may be interested in bringing in Odell Thurman.  The Ex- Bengal has had multiple suspensions and comes with significant risk.  The Raiders are used to developing winning contracts for these types of players though.  Odell would be an outstanding option on special teams and likely a better option at SLB than anyone else we have.

Morrison was on SIRIUS today talking about Darren McFadden.  He said the guy was quiet and trying to learn everything he could.  He also said that McFly had a gear he had not seen before when turning a corner.  This is coming from a guy who plays against LaDanian Tomlinson.
