When asked about media reports he's a candidate to fill the Arkansas head coaching vacancy, Raiders coach Lane Kiffin reposnded "Huh?" I can't even tell you how pissed I'd be if Kiffin bolted now. For the first time in years I really like our head coach and think we're heading in a positive direction.

Raiders coach Lane Kiffin confirmed after Sunday's win that Daunte Culpepper will start at quarterback in Week 13. I can see not wanting to play JaMarcus in his first game against a hostile Denver crowd, but this is a home game and there is no reason not to start him. This likely means that we will play either McCown or Culpepper at Green Bay the following week as well. Hopefully we get to see JaMarcus at home against Indianapolis.

In a game where we looked to be pulling another blown save going into the fourth quarter, the Raiders scored on a late drive to pull off the win. It is never easy going into Arrowhead Stadium, but to pull out a win is fantastic. The Raider defense was horrible against the run as usual, but when they needed to hold in the fourth quarter, they did. In this game we also saw the resurgence of our running game after a half dozen weeks. It's nice to see some offense.
Now, I don't expect that this type of performance will get us by Jacksonville, Indianapolis, San Diego or Green Bay over the coming weeks, but hopefully it gives us the confidence to win a few more.
